# OEM-funded device promotions

Launch OEM-funded device promotions in your eCommerce store. Offer lower prices on Samsung, Google, and other devices while Reach manages pricing, tracking, and reconciliation.

{% hint style="success" %}
Offer current flagship devices at lower prices. OEM funding covers part of every eligible sale.
{% endhint %}

### Expand your device offers

Samsung, Google, and other OEMs fund quarterly device promotions. These programs help move specific devices.

Reach connects your store to eligible OEM programs through our distribution partner. We price, launch, track, and reconcile each promotion.

Your customers see one lower device price under your brand. You can discount a flagship by hundreds of dollars. You can also offer qualifying entry-level devices at no upfront cost.

### Key benefits

{% column %}

#### Better customer prices

Combine OEM funding with your own contribution. Set a compelling shelf price for each promoted device.

#### Simple operations

Keep your existing fulfilment, returns, and support flows. Reach manages promotion operations and funding reconciliation.

* Promote individual device SKUs with rules and dates you control.
* Show one lower price without rebate forms or bill-credit fine print.
* Track every funded unit automatically.

### How OEM device funding works

Each promotion combines two contributions:

$$
\text{Promo price} = \text{MSRP} - (\text{OEM funding} + \text{your funding})
$$

The OEM commits a fixed amount per unit in a quarterly term sheet. Most programs require a minimum operator contribution.

You approve that contribution and choose any additional subsidy. This sets the device price customers see.

### Illustrative example

{% hint style="info" %}
Funding amounts vary by OEM, device, and quarter.
{% endhint %}

| Device            |   MSRP | OEM funding | Your funding | Customer price |
| ----------------- | -----: | ----------: | -----------: | -------------: |
| Current flagship  |   $799 |        $275 |          $25 |           $499 |
| Premium flagship  |   $999 |        $300 |         $100 |           $599 |
| Top-tier flagship | $1,199 |        $400 |         $100 |           $699 |

### What Reach handles

You approve the offer and funding level. Reach manages the workflow below.

| Stage          | What happens                                                                         | Owner             |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------- |
| Program access | Source quarterly OEM term sheets through direct OEM relationships. | Reach and partner |
| Inventory | Confirm and reserve promoted SKUs before launch. Remove offers when stock runs out. | Reach and partner |
| Approval | Approve the required contribution. Sign the quarterly term sheet. | You |
| Configuration | Set SKUs, eligibility rules, and promotion dates. | Reach |
| Selling | Sell at the promotion price. Existing fulfilment and support flows remain unchanged. | Reach |
| Reconciliation | Track funded units. Settle full MSRP monthly. Submit OEM claims at quarter end. | Reach |

OEMs process and pay approved claims within 30 to 60 days. Reach passes the credit to you during the claim-processing month.

### Targeting rules

Each offer applies to a specific device SKU. You control the eligibility rules.

* Require a port-in to target switchers.
* Limit offers to selected plans or payment methods.
* Apply promotion dates that match your acquisition campaign.

{% hint style="info" %}
OEM funding contributions are separate. Each quarterly term sheet defines them.
{% endhint %}

### Why OEM-funded promotions work

Device price often determines whether a visitor switches. A flagship at $499 can convert interest into a subscription.

OEM funding reduces the operator-funded part of each discount. You can invest more effectively in customer acquisition.

* Avoid manual quarter-end spreadsheet reconciliation.
* Use proven promotions already running on Samsung and Google devices.
* Launch through configuration when your Device Store already runs on Reach.

{% hint style="warning" %}
OEM programs run within fixed quarterly windows. Funding levels change each cycle.
{% endhint %}

### Get started

Ask about the current OEM term sheet. We will share live quarterly programs and model device prices at different contribution levels.

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.reachplatform.com/customizations-and-bolt-ons/bolt-ons-catalog/ecommerce/oem-funded-device-promotions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
