Sales Channel Strategy

Decide how mobile will be sold across inbound, outbound, retail, field, and self-serve channels. Not all channels perform the same. A good launch uses more than self-serve.

Not all channels are created equal. Use multiple channels to sell mobile with broadband and on its own.

Core channels

Outbound to existing base

Every broadband subscriber on a major carrier plan. Your warmest possible audience. Outbound call campaign from your existing care and sales team.

Online self-serve

New broadband customers at signup, and existing customers doing research. Mobile offer featured prominently in onboarding flow and account portal.

In-store and retail

Customers who visit your locations. Rep offers mobile at every broadband transaction. Requires trained reps, demo devices, point-of-sale materials.

Door-to-door field sales

New prospects and existing subscribers at home. Field reps offer mobile alongside broadband door-to-door. Reach provides scripted pitch and activation flow.

Based on platform data, online self-serve channels typically account for about 30-40% of sales, depending on your target demographic, while agent sales (outbound, retail, door-to-door) typically account for 60-70%.

What to align on

Before launch, decide:

  • Which channels go live first

  • Which teams carry quotas or targets

  • Where the offer will be visible

  • How performance will be tracked by channel

  • What scripts, materials, and training each channel needs
