Lifecycle visible in order history.
Automatically canceled if the associated device order is canceled.
When complete, trade-in value is applied as credits to the customer’s mobile billing account.
Trade-in steps and lifecycle statuses
Trade-in is linked to a completed new device purchase.
Trade-in ID is generated by Asurion.
Customer must enter IMEI and provide consent (timestamp stored).
Lifecycle statuses:
Order received
Order processed
Device received and inspected
Offer accepted or declined
Settlement and credits
Settlement timelines and commercial terms are indicative. Confirm during onboarding and contract finalization.
Trade-in value is applied as future credits to the customer’s mobile billing account.
Asurion pays the platform for the trade-in value (plus any agreed markup).
The platform applies credits to the customer’s billing account.
Any client revenue share is settled per the commercial agreement (if applicable).
Title transfer (trade-in device)
Title transfers to Asurion when the customer accepts the offer and Asurion receives the device.
If the associated new device order is cancelled, the trade-in is voided.
No title transfer occurs in that case.
Tracking and post-purchase visibility
Trade-in is tracked independently from the new device shipment.
Trade-in lifecycle is visible in order history / My Orders (where enabled).
